Programs at Surrey

SFU offers undergraduate and graduate programs at the Surrey campus in Applied Sciences, Arts and Social Sciences, Business Administration, Communication, Art and Technology, Education, and Science, as well as a variety of Continuing Studies programs.

At the undergraduate level - Surrey’s focus at the undergraduate level is cohort programs – programs delivered in smaller classes – that provide students with outstanding academic support.  Cohort programs encourage students to get to know each other and to create their own community of learners.  Cohort students are guaranteed access to core (required) courses.

SFU Surrey offers a full range of first-year cohort programs.  TechOne is well known for blending hands-on and technical approaches to the Applied Sciences, Business Administration and Communication, Art and Technology.  Science Year One provides smaller classes for the first year of a Science degree.  Explorations provides an innovative introduction to the Arts and Social Sciences, with a special focus on approaches to research.  Two new cohort programs opened in September 2008: Crim One (Criminology) and WorldLit One (World LIterature).

At the graduate level - SFU offers a number of course and research-based programs for students who have completed their undergraduate degrees and would like to further their knowledge and expertise.
